The Dry Salvages (1st impression, September 1941) is Very Good: bright pale blue wrappers with fading/toning to the extremities 4cm split to the outer cover (only) rising from the heel of the spine, not affecting the binding a little faint sporadic spotting to the text. Burnt Norton (1st impression, February 1941) is Near Fine: clean blue wrappers, with just a trace of toning to the edges rubbing to the heel of the outer card wrappers with a 8mm nick to the blue card and a 4mm nick to the inner white cover (both being cut larger than the pages) a faint area of offset tanning to the half-title (from newspaper clipping), else entirely bright and clean. East Coker (3rd impression, November 1940) is Near Fine: bright buff-coloured wrappers, dusty to the spine sporadic foxing to the inner plain white covers, otherwise excellent. There is a previous owner's signature neatly to the front flap of The Dry Salvages, else all are free from names, inscriptions and annotations.

Largely Near Fine, all are unclipped as is common, the staples show rust, but all are securely bound with no looseness at all.

This set comprises a third impression of East Coker (issued two months after the first printing), and first printings of Burnt Norton, The Dry Salvages and Little Gidding. A very pleasing set of Eliot's Four Quartets: four softcover pamphlets in card wrappers, published between the Autumn of 19. Contents and wraps in Very Good condition.
